Our intimate knowledge and experience with netting have expanded into the sports net industry. As H. Christiansen Company, we have manufactured standard and custom sports netting for many decades. Our products range from at home golf range nets, to the barrier and protective netting at baseball parks and sporting stadiums. Our History

H. Christiansen Company was founded in 1886 by Hans Christiansen. Originally the company supported the Commercial Fishing industry on Lake Superior by providing fishing and other supplies to remote fishing villages around the lake. Based in Duluth, MN, the company worked out of the steamship Winyah. At the time, no road access existed around the lake and the Winyah provided the best way of reaching these remote villages. As the area developed, the company concentrated its efforts on the fishnet business and expanded the business into other netting products.
